Hi, I’m Tamara Temple.

I’ve been around a few years. Decades even.

Most of my life has been around the tech world of software engineering, web applications, and learning and teaching the craft of software.

But I’m also a mom - two fully grown women who are about making the world a better place for people.

The last several years I’ve been exploring art, mainly watercolours, but lately other media as well.

It’s fun. I’m all about fun.

I recently retired from the tech world, or at least from seeking employment from an increasingly hostile arena. You wouldn’t believe the absolute relief it is to not have to scurry around looking for work, only to be laid off in a few months.

This blog first took shape in around 2007, so it’s been around for a grand long time.

This latest edition, published on Notion, is hopefully the last time I’ll do this. Most platforms have a short shelf life, and being someone who is supposed to know this stuff, I’ve written various versions in different programming languages. I just don’t want to do that anymore, as it doesn’t serve me anymore.

All the stuff from the last incarnation is still up on Github, I’m not deleting it. I’m bringing over some stuff, backfilling, as it were, this edition. I’m not planning to bring everything over.
