It seems like mid-way through the year everyone has been starting challenges. I gave myself a challenge to draw a tree (or trees) for every day in June. Which according to the old rhyme and google calendar, is 30 days. Prefect, except I already missed day 1 🤷🏻‍♀️. So this’ll go to July 1. Screw the calendar gods.

It’s several trees, and it’s a 2-page spread, so maybe I could say it counts for June 9, 2025, but I’m just counting them all for today.

No reference, just out of my imagination. I do have a mental image of this happening to one of the trees in the back yard here, but this isn’t actually a tree we have. It’s very stylized.

Ian Roberts had us drawing cypress trees all through the Mastering Composition class. They’re beautiful, but after several weeks, several drawings a day, I was drawing them in my sleep. 😂
